Our Mission

The dream and hope for Weber's Village is that followers feel they have a village of people and resources to help navigate difficult issues.

We are ecstatic to announce the launch of our first book, Peter Poop Dreams of Going to Paris. This book is designed to help children and parents cope with a difficult health issue.  Constipation and stool-withholding can be stressful, worrisome, and taxing for everyone.  Our book is designed to normalize this issue, provide coping skills for both parents and children, and age appropriate education--all while adding a splash of humor.

So again, we welcome families to our village and hope we can offer support to both parents and children through reading together.

Book Summary

Peter Poop Dreams Of Going To Paris is a fictional children’s book that adds humor to the topics of constipation and stool-withholding.  The book is geared towards adding laughter in a time that can cue stress, worry, and anxiety in both children and parents. The book also has some education about digestion and coping skills for parents and children. My hope is that this light-hearted book will allow kids to talk openly about their feelings surrounding stool-withholding and help them understand they are not alone. This challenging event can feel isolating and daunting, but Peter Poop will add laughter and humor to the pooping process. There is nothing on the market like it!

Eliza is a young girl starting Kindergarten.  She is worried about going to the bathroom in school so she holds in her poop.  After a few days, it hurts to go potty and she is afraid go to the bathroom.  Peter- her poop- wants to go on an adventure to Paris, but the only way he can do that is if she lets him go.  Once she lets him go, he can be flushed down the toilet to live out his dreams.  Will he make it to Paris?  Read and find out!

Reviews

"A great story about a very common pediatric problem that is not very commonly discussed.  The book accurately depicts the challenge of stool withholding but is absolutely silly and entertaining as well.  I would recommend this book to my patients!"

-Dr. Sarah Burns, MD

Peter Poop was an excellent read! This topic touches more families than could possibly be imagined. As a childcare director I have witnessed many children struggle to use the bathroom when their bodies need to because of nerves, fear and the unknown of how it can feel to have a bowel movement. Peter Poop properly addresses those issues and gives clear, concrete examples of how a parent can help their child use the bathroom. I recommend this book 1000% to any families that have little ones who struggle to have bowel movements.

-Diane Marsden, Director of childcare and preschool facility

"Peter Poop Dreams of Going to Paris is a fabulous, relatable book for young children.  I read it to my preschool class and they loved it!  The children started talking about their potty experiences and they were very excited that Peter Poop finally made it out to Paris!  Peter Poop is a must read for children struggling with potty issues."
